The Chairman of International Lawyers Club UK (ILCUK) Mirza Safdar Iqbal had a formal meeting with the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Mr. Justice Muhammad Anwaarul Haq.

The Chairman of International Lawyers Club UK (ILCUK) Mirza Safdar Iqbal had a formal meeting with the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Mr. Justice Muhammad Anwaarul Haq along with ILCUK CEC member Barrister Sajid Mustafa and office bearers of ILCUK Lahore Chapter Ghulam Hussain President, Ashiq Ali Vice President, Abdul Latif Advocate Additional Vice President and Shoaib Ahmad Sheikh General Secretary. The Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Mr Justice Muhammad Anwaarul Haq briefed the Chairman ILCUK about the fitness certificate requirement to enrol in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. In a reply to Chairman ILCUK’s question about the examination, if 25 cases are accepted from UK jurisdiction, the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court replied that basic authority for examination and inspection in these type of cases will be Chief Justice of Lahore High Court. However, there will be a need to amend the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act for that purpose. The Chairman ILCUK indicated that he will contact to the relevant authorities as soon as possible.
