The International Lawyers Club UK proudly commemorated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day on 14 August 2025 at the offices of IP Solicitors, Ilford, London. The distinguished gathering brought together members of the legal fraternity, political figures, and social leaders to celebrate the spirit of independence with faith, unity, and patriotism.
The event also paid heartfelt tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces and the martyrs of the freedom movement, with special recognition of the sacrifices made during Operation Bunyan Al Marsoos.
The programme commenced with a soulful recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafiz Nouman Qasim Advocate, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by ILCUK General Secretary, Barrister Mushtaq Choudhary.
A special dua was led by Hafiz Abdul Ghani Choudhary in remembrance of the martyrs of the Pakistan Army. The ceremony continued with the hoisting of the Pakistani flag and the playing of the national anthem, filling the atmosphere with pride and emotion.
Renowned artist Ustad Sohail Salamat captivated the audience with a heartfelt Milli Naghma, celebrating the love for the motherland.
Distinguished speakers, including Rt Honourable Khawaja Naveed Ahmad (Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan), Rt Honourable Shabir Ahmed Qaimkhani (Former Health Minister, Sindh), and Rt Honourable Habib Jan, addressed the audience, emphasizing the sacrifices behind Pakistan’s creation, the importance of unity, and the enduring need for rule of law.
Other notable speakers included Barrister Mukhtar Ahmed Tatri, Barrister Imran Panaawala (Chairman ILCUK), Ch Muhammad Rizwan Sulehria, Moazzam Ali Sandhu, Mian Manzoor Hussain Advocate, Shafaqat Ali Sandhu, and Madam Romana Kousar, all of whom reaffirmed their commitment to Pakistan’s ideals and progress.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge to uphold the golden principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah:
